Exemption from medical requirements on general aviation pilots

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Czech Republic grants an exemption (the Exemption) from Part-MED.A.045 requirements of the EU 1178/2011 regulation (Aircrew Regulation) according to the article 71 (1) of the EU 2018/1139 regulation (Basic Regulation) valid for medical certificates issued by holders of an Aeromedical Examiner Certificate or an Aeromedical Centre Certificate that the Civil Aviation Authority of the Czech Republic has issued.

Exemption for licensing of aeroplane and helicopter pilots in general aviation

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Czech Republic in accordance with the article 71 (1) of the 2018/1139 EU regulation (Basic Regulation) has granted an exemption by declaration of the Director of the Flight Division from Part-FCL.055, FCL.625, FCL.740, FCL.825 a FCL.940 requirements of the EU 1178/2011 regulation (Aircrew Regulation) valid for ratings endorsed in aeroplane and helicopter pilot licences issued by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Czech Republic the Exemption).

Exemption from requirements on theoretical examinations and applicants for licences and ratings

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Czech Republic grants an exemption (the Exemption) from Part-FCL.025, FCL.060, FCL140A, FCL 140.H, FCL.725, FCL.735.A, FCL.735.H, FCL.805,, FCL.825, FCL.830 and point (1) of Section H of Appendix 3 to Annex I (Part-FCL) requirements of the EU 1178/2011 regulation (Aircrew Regulation) according to the article 71 (1) of the EU 2018/1139 regulation (Basic Regulation) valid for persons who are applying or who will apply the Civil Aviation Authority of the Czech Republic (CAA CZ) for an aeroplane or helicopter pilot licence issue.

Exemption: Prolonged validity of some pilot ratings and of some medical certificates

Civil Aviation Authority of the Czech Republic has granted exemptios related to the validity for some ratings endorsed in professional pilot licences issued by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Czech Republic and for medical certificates issued by holders of an Aeromedical Examiner Certificate or an Aeromedical Centre Certificate that the Civil Aviation Authority of the Czech Republic has issued.

Online form for claiming compensation for delayed or cancelled flights

Civil Aviation Authority of the Czech Republic has published the online form for claiming the compensation for delayed or cancelled flight, or in case of denied boarding against the will of the passenger.

Background check certificate procedure during the state of emergency

For the duration of the state of emergency declared by the Government of the Czech Republic, the background check certificate procedure will be governed by the following rules:

  1. The opening hours for public are restricted to Monday and Wednesday 9:00 – 12:00. The building will be closed for public outside these hours.
    1. Citizens of the Czech Republic may use the box outside the building to file their application form at any time. They may also submit their application via postal services or data box.
    1. Citizens of a foreign country may submit their application as usual. We kindly ask you to enter the building individually and while waiting outside, please keep distance between each other.
    1. Regardless the method of delivery of the documents you selected, the CAA CZ will be delivering documents to data boxes and via postal services only. No documents will be delivered in person. We advise you to double check your contact address while filling out the form.
